Log homes can be manufactured to whatever size and design a customer desires. This section provides examples of house plans from 1500 square feet to 2500 square feet (please refer to the Log Cabins page for sample plans under 1500 square feet).
House designs can be with or without a loft, a basement, a crawl space, covered decks, full log roof system, full log floor joists, open floor plan, a wall of windows, multiple bedrooms, turrets, interior frame walls, et cetera. In collaboration with our professional log home designers, we will ensure that your modified version of an existing design or your completely new custom design will be the perfect plan to meet your needs.
Most log home packages will utilize a log diameter of at least 9” and many house designs will incorporate log diameters larger than 9”. We offer log diameters up to 15” as well as larger diameter feature or character logs — we will accommodate your particular preferences plus what best suits the scale of the structure. We will be happy to discuss this option with you as well as the many other design and construction options that are available to you.
