Log homes can be manufactured to whatever size and design a customer desires. This section provides examples of house plans that are larger than 2500 square feet. Perhaps, none of these house designs may be exactly what you have in mind. However, they may provide you with a starting point for your own house design or at the very least, they may assist you with design and layout ideas for visualizing your perfect log home.
House designs can be as elaborate as you wish or as basic as you desire. The designs can be with or without a loft, a basement, a crawl space, covered decks, full log roof systems, full log floor joists, open floor plans, a wall of windows, multiple bedrooms, turrets, spiral staircases, interior frame walls, et cetera. In collaboration with our professional log home designers, we will ensure that your modified version of an existing design or your completely new custom house design will be the ideal plan to meet your needs.
Most log home packages will utilize a log diameter of at least 9” and many house designs will incorporate log diameters larger than 9”. We offer log diameters up to 15” as well as larger diameter feature or character logs. We will accommodate your particular log size preference plus design what best suits the scale and features of the structure.
